Donation October 2013

It's that time of year again when we give our donations to our charities.

The Refuge will be receiving:  22 hats, 6 baby hats, 2 hats and gauntlets, 5 scarves, 2 headbands and scarf, 1 hat and scarf, 6 pairs of slippers, and 7 dishcloths.

Rose of Durham will be receiving:  3 jackets and matching bonnets, 19 hats, 16 blankets, 1 hat and scarf set, 2 sweaters with matching hat, 3 clowns, 1 elephant, 3 bears and 30 finger puppets.

Gate 3:16 will receive:  1 hats, 11 scarves, 5 hat and scarf sets and 1 afghan.

Bethesda House will receive:  2 afghans, 1 pair of slippers, 2 scarves and 11 washcloths.

Durham Hospice will receive 9 pairs of slippers and 8 afghans.

Hearth Place will receive 31 Cancer hats and 1 shawl.

A local animal shelter will receive 2 pet blankets.

A local school will receive 6 scarves, 4 hats, 2 mitts, 2 mitt/scarf sets and 2 mitt/hat sets.

In three months we've produced almost 250 items for donation!  Great job!

Silent Star afghan

Sue made this fantastic "Silent Star" afghan with over 700 pieces.  It took her a good year while she was making all the other items she made for our group.  We will be donating this to the Lions Club of North Oshawa.  Thanks Sue and great job!  Want to do another one?  Just kidding....!
